Jadoul did add the caveat: “Having an account does not necessarily mean that you are actually using the system.” On any given day (averaged over 2012), approximately 38% of users within 'Engage' – Alcatel-Lucent's platform – are active, 29% are participating (responding to discussions, microblogs, blogs, etc.) and 8% are creating new content (starting a blog, starting a microblog, etc.).
12. Publish your successes
Finally, don't be too modest! Also publish your successes pakistan mobile phone number list egularly. At the Web & Intranet Conference I saw many speakers enthusiastically talking about their intranet. Why wouldn't you do this in your own organization? A nice example is the healthcare institution Omring where we recently launched a social intranet. After the intranet had been online for one month, the Communications department created the infographic below for internal distribution.

Finally
I realize that (from a theoretical perspective) this article may contain some open doors. However, I see that things often go differently in practice. Lau Hasselbæk Andreasen and Guy van Leemput indicated during their Masterclass that they see in the intranet groups that they organize in Europe that launching and implementing a successful social intranet is certainly not self-evident.
Various intranet homepages on the 'Intranet Wall': sharing and learning from each other
Every web and/or intranet professional should visit the conference, it is highly recommended to be there. Both in terms of topics that are discussed (SharePoint, CMS, Mobile, Content Strategy, Social Media, Intranet trends, Search, UX) and quality of speakers as well as in terms of organization (perfectly organized!) and opportunity for networking. Do you want to know more about the Web & Intranet Conference? Via #jboye13 you can watch the latest tweets, you can also read the presentations of the speakers .
Have you learned any lessons yourself from implementing a social intranet? I would love to read them in a comment below. “Turning eachother's experiences into advantages.”
