CWith 2.989 billion users (April 2023), Facebook is the social network of all social networks . No one doubts that it is the most important social platform worldwide since the Internet became popular just over 20 years ago, and by now it already has a long biography worthy of a memoir. That's why we're going to stop and explain a little about the history of Facebook from its origins... until now.

The creation of Facebook marks an absolute milestone in czech republic number data the history of social networks , and begins in October 2003, when a very young Mark Zuckerberg (were you wondering who created Facebook?) came up with the idea of creating a website to entertain his Harvard classmates. The site was called Facemash and served as a way for students to judge the attractiveness of other students and make rankings. Two days later the site was shut down for using photos without permission, but by this time it had already reached more than 22,000 image views .
This success led Zuckerberg to create a new social network with his classmates Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes on February 4, 2004. The platform was called ' The Facebook' and was only available to people with a Harvard email address. It consisted of a profile where users could connect with other people , share interests and include personal information such as their class schedules and clubs they belonged to.
