Method: time, capacity & frequency
What role do social media play in SMEs? And how much time and priority is devoted to it? Despite the large presence of SMEs, activity is particularly low. In 53.4% of companies, only 1 person is responsible for social media. In addition, SMEs spend an average of between 0 and 5 hours a week on social media. This is not much.
When asked how often they post a message, it turns out to be an average of 1 to 3 times a week. There is also a large group that hardly ever posts anything. Especially light messages and vacancies are often forgotten.
Promoting your own social media is also often forgotten. A quarter of respondents indicate that they do not list to data use social media buttons. Companies in the B2C sector in particular forget this more often.
The results further show that 30% advertises on social media. About the same number of companies also use a social media monitoring tool. The method also relates to the number of employees. This influences, among other things, the arrival of a social media protocol. The more employees, the faster rules are determined.
