To determine the order of activities on the roadmap, you can use the following methods, among others:
Complexity: first the 'quick wins' and then the 'difficult' issues
Logic: first all activities for the most important target group or first everything 'internally' in order (basic systems and processes)
Urgency: first all activities that ensure that no unnecessary or duplicate costs are incurred (e.g. immediately select a new system due to expiration of the license)
Getting started and tips
Now that the roadmap is ready, you can actually get started with the online strategy that contributes to your list to data organizational goals and the wishes and requirements of your target groups. I would like to give you a few tips:
test the connection of the online strategy to the organizational strategy. If there is a difference, substantiate the reason well
create sufficient internal support by consulting all key stakeholders at an early stage ( see the first article ) and making choices and prioritising online targets, objectives and focus in an organisation-wide project team (complete the communication focus model together!)
also set up an online (partial) strategy for a temporary goal (think of campaigns)
Good luck with setting up and implementing your online strategy. Of course I am curious about your additions or reactions.
