Interaction with public agents

Post by monira444 »

Develop ideas and put knowledge into practice so that other professionals have the opportunity to learn. The Inteligov Community has fulfilled its role of bringing together young talents in the area of Institutional and Government Relations (RIG), so that each one can be a protagonist in the search for innovative methodologies and in the generation of increasingly positive results in the RelGov market.

Last week, Marcella Pellegrini, Government Relations Consultant hong kong mobile database at BMJ Consultoria and Influencer of the Inteligov Community, presented important insights on how to conduct interactions with public agents, an issue that is one of the biggest challenges for those who work in RIG and need to always be connected to stakeholders.

There are two main points that led Marcella to give the talk to the Community members: after the pandemic, practically all sectors began to suffer from the impossibility of meeting with clients and investors, a fact that contributed to the distancing in work relationships and raised debates about how it is possible to reconnect these people; and for those starting their careers, it is also important to know how interactions work in each instance, so the tips are more than essential to prepare the new generation of RIG professionals.

Once concerns have been identified, maintaining a plan to strengthen interactions with public agents can greatly facilitate the day-to-day activities of those who are always in meetings and need to optimize tasks that require stakeholder participation, as they are essential for the success of RelGov consultants. In addition, the post-pandemic period has made interactions, in general, much more dynamic, so even if a meeting takes place in person, digitalization has already changed the way we make initial contact and the way we present the material with our proposals.

Who are the stakeholders?

Knowing your contact is one of the most important homework assignments. Marcella argues that the first step to successful interaction is understanding how to communicate with your audience, even before scheduling a meeting. To do this, you need to know whether you will be contacting members of the Legislative Branch (deputies and senators), members of the Executive Branch (ministers and secretaries) or members of the Judiciary Branch.
