The Moscow Regional Duma begins its work in 2025. The plan for the first quarter alone includes 30 events, over 40 draft laws, most of which will be aimed at the socio-economic development of the Moscow Region.
— Igor Yuryevich, with what mood does the regional parliament begin the new year?
— We are set for fruitful work. And we set ourselves big goals, the achievement of which, I am sure, will become possible thanks to the adopted budget.
The 2025 budget retains a socially oriented approach. Our priorities remain unchanged - support for families, pensioners, SVO participants and their relatives, modernization of education, healthcare, and japan mobile database housing and communal services.
— Let's start with the most pressing topic today — support for SVO participants and their families. Much has been done. What else is planned?
— Yes, last year we significantly expanded the list of support measures for our soldiers and their relatives. This direction was and remains key for us.
Thus, we introduced a new payment in exchange for a land plot for SVO participants awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation or awarded orders of the Russian Federation. We adopted a law on free rehabilitation of SVO participants at the unique A. I. Meshcheryakov Center in Sergiev Posad for residents with hearing and vision impairments. In addition, we introduced quotas for hiring combat veterans, a benefit within the framework of social gasification. We extended the benefit for transport tax until the end of 2025.
The plans include meeting with families and the participants of the SVO themselves, learning about their needs and continuing to improve regional legislation.
— What other topics are planned for discussion in the Duma?
— Another key topic voiced by the President during the Direct Line is demography. The relevant committees of the Moscow Regional Duma will analyze both regional and federal legislation to determine in what other areas families with children need our attention. We understand that it is important for parents to have comfortable educational and medical institutions near their homes. This year, the region plans to carry out major repairs of 108 educational institutions. We will also open 14 new schools and 12 kindergartens. Deputies, together with parents, will monitor the progress of work at each facility.
