RuNet outages damage economy and users

Post by monira444 »

Global failures in RuNet cause significant economic damage to companies and users of the network. According to Alexander Shchukin, in the conditions of the modern wide penetration of communication technologies into the economy and public life, every hour of RuNet inoperability can result in hundreds of millions of rubles in losses.

“The inability to contact the customer or contractor, to conduct a transaction using a bank card, to take part in electronic trading – all of these are consequences of unavailability and communication failures,” says the RIA Novosti source.

Vladimir Altukhov adds: for ordinary users, global failures in the RuNet threaten both a bad mood and financial losses - for example, someone's interview for a dream job may fall through, and someone tunisia mobile database will not be able to buy tickets at a bargain price and will be forced to overpay, making a purchase the next day. Finally, frequent and long-term failures create restrictions for the creation of critical IT systems.

"We are talking about the impossibility of communications, provision of services and a complete stoppage of work in general. Such a failure may occur for one minute once a month, but Runet failures occur more often and for a longer period. This is completely unacceptable."

TSPUs are installed at all providers and communications operators in the Russian Federation, so RKN can accidentally or intentionally block any access to external communications networks and to any sites. However, global failures are still an abnormal situation, and the state understands the importance of stable Internet operation for business and society, Alexander Cherny says in an interview with RIA Novosti.
