Windows Copilot, or simply Copilot, uses the same technology as ChatGPT and runs on Bing Chat and several third-party plugins. It is an advanced version of Bing AI that offers more traditional interactive capabilities.

Copilot's functionality includes web page summarization, content creation, graphics creation, actions, settings customization, and more. However, these tasks can also be performed using Bing Chat from the Edge browser, which can make Copilot somewhat redundant and potentially resource-hungry.

For users who don't plan to use Copilot, there are a few workarounds to disable or completely remove it from your Windows 11 PC.

Uninstall Copilot from Windows 11

Luckily, there are some workarounds that involve tweaking the Group Policy Editor or Registry Editor to disable Windows Copilot completely.

Remove Copilot from Windows 11 using Group Policy Editor
If you have Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education editions installed on your computer, you can permanently disable Copilot in the Local Group Policy Editor. However, if you are using Windows 11 Home Edition, you will not have access to GPE on your system. You can move on to the next method, Registry Editor.
