The head office of an SCI can be:
The home of the manager of the SCI;
A commercial premises ;
Premises rented jointly by several companies;
It is also possible to use a domiciliation company .
The domiciliation of the SCI at the manager's premises may however be temporary because, if the activity carried out by the SCI is of a commercial nature (furnished rental for example), then it is limited to 5 years . Once the period has elapsed, a transfer of registered office will therefore be mandatory.
Conversely, there is no time limit when the SCI's activity is simply to manage real estate. The address may be registered with the manager as well as with any other partner of the SCI.
For the SCI to be domiciled with the manager, the legal representative of the SCI, the accommodation in question must be the latter's main residence .
