My teammate, Cameron Jenkins , and I plugged 20 argentina number data random local businesses into a spreadsheet, with a total of 60 reviews highlighted on GBP's front-end interface. Google only highlights three reviews on GBP and I wanted to know two things:
How many of the twenty businesses had a liked review anywhere in their corpus?
Does the presence of likes affect which reviews Google highlights in front of GBP?
The study was very small, and should definitely be expanded, but here's what I saw:
60 percent of brands had earned at least one like in their review corpus.
15 percent of the time, Google only highlighted reviews with zero likes, even when a business had liked reviews elsewhere in its corpus. But, 85 percent of the time, if a business had some likes, at least one liked review was making it to the front of GBP.
At a glance, does Google review likes affect anything?
