There is another problem, more functional, although less pronounced than information security. Employers may face the fact that not all services will work smoothly. The fact is that developers of corporate systems are now required to support a larger number of connected devices. Previously, employees used one corporate laptop or computer, and everything worked reliably. But as soon as it became necessary to connect a mobile phone or tablet to one server, problems began to appear: the system supports a different browser, the screen resolution and orientation are not suitable for this type of device, etc.
Technologies in the office? Can we expect the implementation of a platform approach to building a distributed digital office of the future?
The platform approach will inevitably take hold in the future, when office boundaries will be defined not by the walls of a building, but by digital technologies. There will be a certain digital perimeter, the chile mobile database to which will not depend on the actual location. The next stage, which everyone will move to, is hiring employees not within one country, but between countries. Some people work this way, but in general, people are still skeptical about the idea of sitting in Arkhangelsk and working in California, if the work is not related to IT. Over time, this format of work will become more popular and commonplace not only for technology companies, but also for manufacturing companies.
This will affect not only employees, but also employers who need to organize their work in a new way from a technical point of view. Previously, companies tried to locate services in-house, so that they were deployed in a server room within the organization. Now, everything is gradually moving towards hybrid work: something is in the clouds, something is in the office, etc. And such a format will be in demand by all companies. However, I do not really believe that this will lead to the active use of SaaS (a subscription to software instead of purchasing a license) or to the widespread rental of computing power in data centers, rather than hosting it at the customer's premises.
How do you see the future of digital
