Part 1. Who discovers backlinks first: Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz or Majestic?
First, we look at a random example of URLs provided by an independent provider - Normal Crawling .

The question we wanted to answer was:

Using data from Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Majestic, which tool first identifies new links to these URLs?

We received a random sample of over 33,000 URLs from Common Crawl.
For each URL, we measured the time elapsed until the link was first discovered by Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Majestic
We calculate the number and percentage of cases where each data provider found a backlink at least rest of the providers.
If two data providers find the same backlink on the same day, we call it hong kong mobile database a tie and give one point to each provider.
If any provider did not find a backlink at the time of measurement, it was counted as the last to discover this link.
As we can see in the following graph, Semrush led the competition with 37% of cases.

Part 2 (a). How fast did Semrush find these links?
Next, we wanted to know exactly how fast this process is – from the moment a new article is published until new links are reported in Semrush.

That's why we decided to take a look at the RSS feeds of major websites.

We use RSS feeds for two reasons:

RSS feeds from major news outlets represent high-traffic websites, and generate new content that earns backlinks almost immediately.
