"A domestic ERP system is extremely necessary for large Russian businesses.

"The transfer of 130,000 employees from SAP to an ERP system based on 1C shows that the words about 1C not meeting the requirements of the corporate market are not really true," said Kirill Semion during the session "Domestic ERP. Development cannot be stopped" on the second day of the CIPR 2024 exhibition. He added that the most difficult part of this work is ahead for Russian Railways: the transfer of finances and personnel. "The first business units will switch to full operation in 1C already in 2024," he emphasized.

Kirill Semion explained to china whatsapp resource ComNews that for ANO "NCC ISU", 1C is a strategic and technological partner under the agreement signed at CIPR 2023. "1C is one of the organizations that have shown interest in understanding the needs of the corporate customer and willingness to interact with the NCC to develop a solution for use in creating a new ERP platform," said the head of the NCC ISU.

It will be difficult to develop an enterprise-level solution from scratch that would take into account the needs of customers from various industries, even in five years. Investments can amount to tens of billions of rubles. We can go the route of refining a ready-made domestic functional platform. This will allow us to quickly bring a full-fledged product to the market - literally within two years," says Artem Karanovich, head of the Digital Consulting Department of the Russian supplier of domestic software NOTA.

Director of the corporate market of 1C Dmitry Voskoboinikov stated: "We have started to refine the ERP to meet the requirements of Russian Railways, Gazprom Neft and Rosatom - we even had to align their requirements. We have been interacting in this format for a year and a half. Each customer had a DBMS, or at least a Postgres kernel, and we have tailored the product to each one."

Answering a question from a ComNews correspondent about the initiative of Severstal and Sibur to create an ERP system on their own, Kirill Semion said that he has a positive attitude towards this initiative: "If colleagues are confident in their abilities and have calculated everything, then this will only benefit the development of IT in the country. If they want to use the results and expertise of the NCC, then we are ready to cooperate with them."
