The company "AutoContinent", one of the largest distributors of spare parts in the Russian Federation for passenger cars, trucks and motorcycles, after a successful pilot replaced the outdated warehouse management system with LEAD WMS from LogistiX in 10 more warehouses. The replication process took only 10 months and was carried out entirely by its own efforts without involving a vendor.

"We appreciated the ease of use, flexibility of customization and scalability of the new solution. We were completely satisfied with the functionality and performance, which had previously been a problem. After that, it was decided to replace the WMS in all the company's warehouses," said Zhanna Tereshko, the curator of the WMS implementation project for the AvtoKontinent company.
The process of replicating LEAD WMS to 10 warehouse facilities of the company, including the Moscow warehouse, was built on the step-by-step principle from small sites to larger ones.
Preparing facilities for the transition to the new WMS took from 10 to 14 days and included training personnel using pre-prepared instructions, organizing the closure of all "tails" in the old system and, on the day of the switchover, going through a checklist together with the IT department to configure the system and integrate with the transfer of current balances. Integration with the company's ERP system (Axapta) was also carried out.
"We offer various LEAD WMS scaling schemes for companies with multiple warehouses: both full support and support at selected stages of implementation. We also help the customer prepare their own competence center, which will be able to support and develop the system on its own in the future," commented Maxim Menshikov, Development Director at LogistiX.
