Anti-spoofing and using secure communication channels

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

Nikita Leokumovich, head of the digital forensics and cyber intelligence department at Angara Technologies Group LLC (Angara Security), also believes that people are more accustomed and comfortable communicating in social networks and public messengers, so even the forced transfer of some structures to corporate means of communication does not change the situation.

"The second aspect of the problem is the time required to develop a secure corporate messenger if the organization for some reason does not want to buy a ready-made solution, or the time of implementation and complete transition to this means of communication. And the issue of price," he added.

"Antispoofing, especially uk telegram against the backdrop of the development of the AI market, will be excessively expensive for businesses. It is much easier to use corporate messengers and mail. Moreover, the use of corporate solutions opens up additional opportunities for the company itself related to personnel control and personnel risks," says Igor Bederov.

Nikolay Kalutsky, a leading specialist at the Scientific and Educational Center of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, believes that the optimal solution to the deepfakes problem could be a combination of approaches: while secure corporate environments can significantly reduce risks, anti-spoofing solutions can help protect against more complex and specific threats.

Development Manager at UserGate, Aleksandr Lugansky, also believes that it is better to combine methods of combating spoofing: use special technical means that help the user determine whether what he sees and hears is real content created by a person or contains traces of AI. They operate on approximately the same principle as antiviruses and antispam services that block or mark potentially unwanted programs, letters and calls.

In his opinion, companies should have simple instructions for employees describing topics for communication and relevant communication channels, as well as questions that, for example, a manager can ask employees. "This will eliminate the main risks and will cost the company practically nothing. In addition, information security training for employees and regular cyber exercises will help - this allows not only to protect corporate data and digital infrastructure, but also to increase employee loyalty, since the knowledge and skills acquired are applicable in personal life," concluded Alexander Lugansky.
