For SEO, it is also important that the images are original and not copied from other sites. Search engines value original, unique content - and images are no exception.

Search engines can identify duplicate images and understand where they come from. So think carefully before you post another stock photo on your site.

Here you can upload an image or provide a link to it. The service will check it and return 0 results if the image is unique:

Check if the image is indexed by search engines.
For example, upload a photo to Yandex Images. If it is not in the search engine index, you will only see similar images:

Do not use copyrighted images.
In RuNet, copyrights to photographs are not particularly respected, and it is still possible (closing your eyes, stepping on your own conscience and finding a serious justification) to neglect the rights to images. But you still shouldn't do that - the copyright holder may discover a copy and ruin your life. And in general - you need to respect and preserve copyrights.

If you use graphic content for commercial purposes, use your own images or images with an open license.

Finding images that can be used for commercial purposes is easy with Google's advanced search.

In Google Images, enter your search term, then select Tools and the Creative Commons license type. This type of license allows free use of images, but there may be additional conditions, such as the requirement to attribute the author.
