First, you need to make sure that you always back up your WordPress website. There are several great WordPress backup plugins that you can use.

Second, you need to install a local server environment on your computer. You can use WAMP for Windows and MAMP for Mac . Once you have the environment set up, you need to create a new database using phpMyAdmin .

Simply open the following URL in your browser to launch phpMyAdmin.
