Trend Report November 2024: Methodology of Evaluation
It's not just professional critics from the Michelin Guide or Gault & Millau who rate restaurants - thanks to Google, the opinions of guests themselves also have an enormous influence. Those who choose restaurants based on Google ratings are generally making a reliable choice. These user ratings form the basis for the evaluation of Berlin's restaurant scene.


Restaurant tips from the editors. Text in picture.

This is how we proceeded:

Data basis : A total of 10,337 restaurants in Berlin were included in the analysis.
Reviews : The basis of the evaluation were the Google reviews , measured on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. The data was collected in October 2024 .
Kitchen types : To identify the kitchen types, the Google reviews were supplemented with internal data from DISH Digital Solutions .
Geographical allocation : The restaurants were allocated to the individual districts based on their address data.
Results : The analysis not only provides an overview of the most popular restaurants, but also of the preferred types of cuisine in the different districts of Berlin.
