Back in September, I published a piece of research on the Moz blog showing some interesting patterns around sites that were losing out on Helpful Content Updates . In the past, when both Google and the SEO industry as a whole were talking about Helpful Content Updates, we were mostly talking aboutsignals on the site or at the page level. I found a strong correlation with external signals.

I won't go too deep into the research today. . I want to talk about a lot of the discussions oman mobile phone numbers database I've seen since then and on LinkedIn, Twitter, and elsewhere, mostly about what can be learned from this. If you're a site that's already been hurt by a core update, or maybe you're concerned that it might happen, what can you do, what should you do as a result of these results, or somehow incorporate these results into how you think about this? So just to quickly recap, I found sites that lost out on core updates for September 2023 and March 2024, the latter of which was combined with the core update, although I think they're pretty different signals even though they're ostensibly combined now. But either way, the losers had pretty similar Domain Authority to the sites that were positively impacted or not impacted.
