Evernote Launches Evernote Business

Post by Bappy10 »

A conversation between Loic and Phil Libin (CEO of Evernote) always guarantees new figures about the use of Evernote. For example, Evernote currently has more than 45 million users, about 40 books have been written about the company and 66% of users use Evernote at work. In order to better serve the latter group, Phil Libin announced that they are launching Evernote Business today.

With Evennote Business they focus on collaboration and making information available within companies. An example of list to data this is that you get an overview of relevant notes from colleagues with your Evernote notes. With Evernote Business you can set what you do and do not share with your colleagues. If you already use Evernote Premium and your employer chooses to use Evernote Business (10 dollars per user), you can link it to the business account and you do not have to pay anymore. Your own data automatically remains private.

“Facebook launches a WhatsApp killer”
Peter Deng, Director of Product Management, was present on behalf of Facebook. He announced that Facebook is launching a new version of Facebook Messenger in a number of countries. With this new version, you can also chat with non-Facebook friends and it is no longer necessary to have a Facebook account. In this case, your phone number is your username.

With this, the social giant is mainly focusing on teenagers. According to Deng, only 16% of this group uses e-mail and 63% uses a text messaging application. Although Deng indicated that Facebook will not use the data of all these users to sell to advertisers, the interviewer was not entirely convinced. According to Deng, it is about offering an ultimate text messaging experience and not about selling data. This new version of Messenger is only available for Android and will not be launched in the Netherlands at first.
