Online is hot. We spend more and more hours on the world wide web. Not only individuals benefit from the online web, but also organizations. They are therefore well represented online. But what about small entrepreneurs? This question was asked by research agency Hiscox. You can read the answer today in the Infographic Day series .
Most trust in word of mouth
The research agency conducted research among 500 small organizations on the use of social media. Only list to data 35 percent of small entrepreneurs in the United States use social media as a marketing tool. The organizations prefer traditional means, such as advertising and word of mouth . More than three quarters of the respondents indicate that they rely on the latter method.
Knowledge and time are lacking
IT and media companies use social media the most . A quarter of small entrepreneurs would like to use these media, but have no idea how it works or indicate that they do not have the time. About 33 percent think that social media is not useful for their company.
