Tag their reasons and the call to action they need to take,
such as: plz check it and let me know if you have any questions by tmr 5pm
or: just FYI. NO action required
List points, don’t cram everything into one paragraph.
To change a product spec, I’d write:
now: no button
change: add an 'Edit' button
or
current: text is black-colored
proposal: change black into white (#FFFFFF)
You can also use some abbreviations to shorten the length. The most common ones are FYI (For Your Information) or FYR (For Your Reference), ASAP (As Soon As Possible), u (you), and w (with). I have also seen nvm (never mind), mtg (meeting), and cob (close of business, before leaving get off work).
Oral
practise
Even though I have been working for half croatia mobile database a year and am more accustomed to speaking English than when I first started, until now, before every meeting where I have to speak English, I still say everything I want to say from beginning to end, mainly to make sure that I can express it fluently (as much as possible) and to make sure there are no words that I am not easy to pronounce.
Timing
If it is a meeting with a tight schedule, I will also use my phone to time myself during practice. This way I can confirm how long I will speak so that I can control my time.
Point List
Before speaking every time, be sure to organize what you want to say and write down the main points! In fact, this has nothing to do with language. It is very suitable to do so in the workplace. It mainly makes your speech more organized. If the other party wants to respond, you can also say clearly "I want to ask about the second point just mentioned..." After all, ineffective, messy or lengthy communication will only drag down the team's progress.
