January 2025 will be remembered by residents of the capital region for its abnormal warmth: it could become the warmest second winter month in the history of meteorological observations with an average monthly temperature of 0.1 degrees. This became possible thanks to five heat records, which became the crowning glory of a frost-free winter. Meanwhile, February, the last winter month, will come into its own this Saturday.
What will the weather be like in early February 2025 in Moscow and the Moscow region
According to weather forecasters, the last week of January in Moscow will end with warm weather. In particular, as reported by leading specialist of the Fobos Weather Center Evgeny Tishkovets, clear weather is expected on Tuesday, January 28: at night, thermometers will show no lower than plus two degrees, and during the day in the capital, plus 3-5 degrees is expected.
On Wednesday, January 29, light rain is possible. At night, thermometers will show 2-4 degrees, during the day - 5-7 degrees above zero. On Thursday, January 30, the weather will improve: the oman mobile database air will warm up to plus seven degrees. On Friday, January 31, precipitation is unlikely. At night, 0 - plus 2 degrees is expected, during the day in the metropolis - 5-7 degrees.
However, forecasters predict precipitation on the weekend of February 1-2. In addition, a new round of thaw is expected at the beginning of the last month of winter, which, however, is unlikely to surprise residents of the capital region. At the same time, according to the forecast of the chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau Tatyana Pozdnyakova, although the air temperature at the beginning of February will be higher than normal, residents of the Moscow region will still see snow this season.
“There will be precipitation, mainly in the form of snow; we won’t be left without it in February,” Pozdnyakova noted.
According to her, the snow that has fallen may linger for some time due to sub-zero temperatures.
