About a hundred kilometers south of the Pyrenees, in the heart of Navarre and on the border of Aragon in Spain, the Bardenas Reales desert stands out and is shaped over more than 41,000 hectares. The plateaus and canyons will transport you to the American Far West, in the heart of a lunar landscape, infinite and fascinating.

Coming from the city of Pamplona, you drive towards the south of Spain on the AP-15 twitter data motorway (Autopista de Navarra) towards Zaragoza. To access the Bardenas Reales desert, you can exit the motorway at exit 13, and you will arrive at the N-113 (National Road 113). At the roundabout immediately after the exit, you will take the 3rd exit on the right, towards Valtierra, on the Carretera Valtierra-Agreda. You will then arrive at a second roundabout, where you will continue straight towards Valtierra. After this roundabout, you will drive for about 1500 meters until you reach the first intersection, where you will take the direction of Arguedas on your right, with a sign indicating the direction of the Bardenas Reales desert. You will now be on the NA-134, on which you will continue straight for 8 kilometers until reaching the 4th intersection, where you will turn left, and where a small brown sign will indicate the direction of Bardenas Reales and Arguedas.
A first road on the right 600 meters after the intersection will indicate the direction of the desert via a small path. However, during our escapade, we continued straight towards the small municipality of Arguedas, where it is well worth stopping to admire curious troglodyte dwellings...
