But I said to myself: "Come on, I went out. Well, I knew it was going to rain. I'm outside, I have my microphone, I have my content, I have a little piece of paper with a few ideas. For the episodes of Walk with Johan, I always just have a small list of points to develop. There, I'm going to do it anyway". There, I won't hide from you that I stood near a tree, 'well under a tree, which is not waterproof, so it's raining on me. But I know that if I go on the paths, precisely the sheet of paper with my few ideas will fade.
Before we start… So today, we’re going to talk about personal development. I’m going to share with you a simple technique to influence our emotions. It’s a subject that I’ve talked about a lot in the past and I’m going to continue to do so, because managing emotions is still one of the great skills for living a serene life, a happy life and so I really want… the rain is getting heavier… I really want to give you tips to improve yourself, because I’m in personal research and I’m applying a lot of things, so I think I can help you.

I was just talking to you before about emotions and I was thinking about something that is quite common in the end and that is that our emotions seem fixed. Fixed means they are there and we cannot change them in the end. They happen for no reason, they are random, they happen randomly, for no reason, and they are fixed, that is to say we cannot change them.
And besides, expressions in everyday language seem to confirm this. For example, we say: "I am sad today" as if it were random, that it came at random, and as if it could not change. We also say: "I am not in a good mood today. I am in a bad mood this morning". Once again, there is often an idea of randomness, of chance, and also an idea of "well that's how it is, it's fixed, we can't change it".
And I think both of those ideas are wrong. There may be a little bit of truth in them, there may be a little bit of randomness in them, there may be a little bit of fixedness or difficulty in changing, but I still think both of those ideas are fundamentally wrong.
The random part, in my opinion, is limited. When we say "I'm in a bad mood" and we say it as if it were something that happened to us, that happened for no reason, well it's partially true, in my opinion.
First of all, we need to pay attention to the fundamentals of our lives: eating very well, exercising, making sure we sleep well. Sleeping, exercising, eating well, respecting a certain number of fundamentals related to breathing, etc. Well, often, when we pay attention to all that, we are not in a bad mood, we do not really have negative emotions that come for no reason.
