And of course, it works for everything, affirmation and visualization trying to get as much emotion as possible. It's not necessary to do these exercises in a very long way. I typically spend the first two, three minutes of each day during my morning routine and the last two, three minutes at night before I go to sleep just affirming and visualizing in a cool, relaxed way and it doesn't take me any time actually.

Another very simple tool is what Robin Sharma in The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari called the opposite thought. The idea is that as soon as you have a negative thought, simply change it to a positive one.

for example, my boss is going to think that I'm not competent and so you have this thought, well right away, you change it to the opposite. You can use affirmations, visualization, but the idea is to change thoughts to their opposites. We think positive rather than negative.

And finally, the fourth tool for this is to feel gratitude. Tell yourself that you are lucky, I feel very lucky to have been born in 1982 and not in 1882. I am lucky to have been born in France and not in a country at war for example.

I am lucky to have had parents who took care of me, who gave me an education, values. I am lucky to have met my wife Céline. I am lucky that my children are healthy.

There was a whole movement following the success of what was called the law of attraction, which is to say if I am positive, I will attract positive, I agree with that. But of course, it is not because we think positive that we will have everything without doing anything.

So there is a lot of work behind it and you have to make the right choices, you have to put the right actions in place to succeed. I think it was unnecessary to specify it, but I prefer to make this little remark anyway because some people think "Ok, I don't work during the day, but I visualize my success".

Well no, it won't work. Be careful too, I think it's one of the traps of the book or maybe I didn't understand it properly, but also be careful not to expect everything from the outside.

The author keeps telling us, we must pray, we must have faith to obtain things, but again, we should not expect everything from God or from faith. It is important to show gratitude to the God you believe in, but we should not expect everything from Him.

Once again, we are at the point of telling ourselves that we must work, we must do things and not always expect everything from God or the universe.
