It follows that automation will be equally fundamental to edge computing. Edge architectures and systems are distributed by definition, and automation becomes a critical element of how teams practically manage these systems.
“An important trend in automation is its application to edge computing as part of a hybrid cloud deployment that brings computing closer to users and data,” said Gordon Huff, technology evangelist at Red Hat. “A common automation platform can scale and optimize both edge deployments and the rest of the hybrid cloud architecture to achieve better results.”
managing containers at scale, in that the more there are, the more complex it becomes—and therefore the more important it is to automate as much of the operational work as possible.
“What some once considered a nice-to-have feature in cambodia mobile database on-premises infrastructures becomes a necessity when an organization has hundreds or thousands of edge nodes,” Huff says. “The edge is all about scale, so it’s important to adopt an approach that makes it easy to scale and reduces security risks.”
2. There is automation of security, but there is also security of automation
On the operational side, security automation is getting a lot of attention in IT circles – and that's reflected in IT budgets.
But if you turn the phrase around - "automation security" - it means something completely different, which is also starting to receive the necessary attention: ensuring the security of the automation itself, from the tooling to the code, configurations and other components.
Managing edge nodes at scale is similar to
