But there are also positive factors influencing the development of the IAM segment. The main one is the mass transition of companies to remote work, under which the relevance of unauthorized access threats has increased. The perimeter of the corporate IT infrastructure is greatly blurred, and it is becoming more difficult to protect access to the organization's data. Therefore, to ensure a high level of protection of information resources, information security and IT departments need additional tools for monitoring and automating access to them. Another important factor is the need to correct the errors that occurred during the "urgent" implementation of remote access tools in the first half of 2020. They are mainly typical for projects that were implemented for medium-sized businesses by specialists with insufficient qualifications.
The development of authentication and access control systems themselves also played a role. In terms of foreign solutions, the market has changed little over the past few years. In this segment, the leadership among Western brands is still held by niche players, such as One Identity, whose solutions are distinguished by greater functional jordan mobile database and customer focus. At the same time, large vendors, such as Oracle and IBM, who were not ready for changes from both a technological and commercial point of view, have actually left this market. On the other hand, domestic solutions, which have come a long way in the past 5-7 years, are gaining more and more popularity. We will talk about them separately.
Russian authentication and access control systems are used quite actively in the country. In terms of the number of implementations, domestic developers have even caught up with foreign ones. This is largely due to the import substitution policy, but the development of Russian products also has an effect - they are becoming more mature and functional.
Progress of domestic producers
