BSI certifies technical security devices for cash register systems

Post by hasan018542 »

Bonn, December 20, 2019. From 2020, new cash register systems must be equipped with a certified technical security device in accordance with Section 146a of the Tax Code to make it more difficult to manipulate electronic records. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has certified the first technical security devices for electronic recording systems.

The now certified hardware-based solutions from Epson and Swissbit AG can be used to protect the digital records of electronic cash register systems from subsequent manipulation.

BSI President Arne Schönbohm explains: "The hong kong gambling data technical security device will make it easier for tax authorities to detect manipulation of recorded tax data in the future. The standardized certification process ensures systematic testing of technical security devices in accordance with the state of the art. The BSI's specifications enable flexible implementation by manufacturers and are a decisive driver of technological development. This ensures a real increase in security."

The certification of the technical security device consists of a certification according to the technical guideline BSI TR-03153 as well as Common Criteria certifications of the associated security module according to the protection profiles PP-SMAERS and PP-CSP. In a limited introductory phase, the CC certification according to PP-CSP can be temporarily replaced by a security report from the BSI.
