6 Google Forms settings that will make your work more productive

Post by zakiyatasnim »

Some users may think that Google Forms is too simple, but it is actually a robust tool with many useful features.

Prevent refilling
By default, Google Forms does not collect email addresses. This allows respondents to remain anonymous and not have to create a Google account to fill out the survey. However, this can be quite inconvenient for survey owners because they cannot track the authors of the responses and there is a possibility that some respondents may fill out the form twice.

This can be fixed in the settings under the "General" tab. Simply check the box next to "Submit form no more than once."

Please note that users will need to sign in with a Google account to do this.

If you want to see who responded how, check the box next to "Collect email addresses."

Turn a Google Form into a Quiz
You can create a Google Form with multiple choice answers that will automatically grade your quiz. Just go to the “Tests” section in your settings.

Multiple-choice questions can be scored in real time — just indicate the correct answer and Google will calculate the score for you.

You can also allow extended responses, but in this case the evaluation must be done manually.

This option allows you to use the service as a useful testing tool.

Add your image to the form header
The default design in Google Forms is in shades of purple. But if you want to customize the design to your liking, you can change the header image. Click on the palette icon.

Here you can upload an image and Google will adapt the color scheme to it.

Use sections and logic
If the form needs to span multiple pages and subsequent questions need to depend on previous answers, use the add sections feature.

To do this, click the “Add Section” button on any question. This tool allows you to divide the form into multiple sections.

Depending on their answers, respondents will be taken to different sections of the form. This will speed up the process because people can skip parts of the form that they don’t need. To do this, click on the three-dot icon in the bottom corner of the multiple-choice question.
