Your opening is the very beginning of your sales call and will most often be answered by a gatekeeper.

Especially if you are calling a high-level potential client.

You can afford to be a little creative to get past the gatekeeper if what you say makes sense in your proposal.

"New case".
"The process of attracting clients."
"How to find new clients."
If this is a repeat contact, try:

"Oh, I'm just checking in about the email I sent to (name)."
