Ilya Ivantsov also said that microelectronics manufacturers need guarantees

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

The head of Element LLC, a company specializing in the design, development and production of electronic systems for various purposes, made this initiative at the Microelectronics 2023 forum. According to him, the establishment of such an organization will help solve a number of problems in the industry and accelerate the achievement of technological sovereignty. "The creation of a national microelectronics fund is one of the possible options for solving the key problems facing the industry, including ensuring independence from imports," noted Ilya Ivantsov.

He added that by joining forces bahrain whatsapp resource and establishing such a fund, large Russian companies will be able to create new production facilities, a center for the implementation of technologies and materials, and organize serial production of equipment. Such measures will yield results in the next five years.

of long-term demand for goods, large orders of at least a million units of products, and the ability to gradually reduce prices as production capacity increases in order to develop further. At the same time, customers have completely different needs. They are interested in specialized microcircuits, high variability of order volumes, fast shipment of products upon request, and prices at the level of global analogues. Not receiving what they need in a short time, customers begin to develop competencies and try to create a product on their own, while it is necessary to consolidate efforts.

According to Ilya Ivantsov, in addition to consolidating the efforts of customers and manufacturers, there is another way to solve problems: "We can act as we do now. That is, gradually revive microelectronics, build up all the necessary technological processes, build factories, increase demand for our products. But this is long and ineffective."

A representative of the press service of the integrated circuit manufacturer Mikron positively assessed the idea of creating a microelectronics fund in Russia: "The fund can become one of the levers for the development of the industry and increase its competitiveness by solving key problems in such areas as popularizing the profession, ensuring investments, and developing equipment and materials."

Deputy Director of the Department of Radio-Electronic Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia (Minpromtorg) Alexander Gaponov recalled the existing measures to support the industry: "We have begun to subsidize the development of not only products, but also technologies. In addition, power electronics production will begin in Russia. Issues that are not covered by support measures, such as the creation of implementation centers, are also included in the industry development strategy and the mechanisms for implementing the principles of state policy approved by the president. We will also determine the mechanism for creating such centers. We will have the first units of equipment starting in 2024."

Pavel Frolov, founder and producer of the company that develops and manufactures robotic EdTech kits "ROBBO", believes that the state-developed microelectronics support program is already having a positive effect on the industry: "Despite some shortcomings, the program will gradually bring results and give the market a new round of development. On the other hand, the plans for the development of microelectronics stated in it are difficult to fulfill in seven years. If Russia can achieve such indicators, then this will be an incredible precedent for the world. Unfortunately, there is no reason to believe that it will happen. It is also worth noting that the microelectronics industry in the country was not standing still before the program was implemented: enterprises producing high-quality products were slowly but surely moving forward. But for active development, serious financial investments were required. They are still needed now."

Pavel Frolov also assessed the prospects for successful import substitution in the industry: "Many things that our scientists and designers do are unique. But there are not enough of such specialists for the active development of microelectronics. Most often, they work at closed defense enterprises, and their developments are not related to equipment that is mass-produced. In addition, the products of Russian manufacturers are not as diverse as those of foreign manufacturers. The number of certain types of equipment is sometimes tens of times less than in foreign markets. We can talk about the prospects for successful import substitution when the range of products of domestic manufacturers expands significantly. For this to happen, they must have new developments, additional production capacities and qualified personnel in their arsenal. They must also be exempted from a number of taxes and provided with at least the benefits that IT companies enjoy today. Or better yet, study the experience of China. There, vendors associated with technological processes important to the state are exempted from all taxes for seven years!"
