4. Connecting the cables: How it works

3. Prepare the lamp
Unpack the new lamp and take a look at the assembly instructions. It sounds boring, but it's worth its weight in gold. Check that all parts are there: screws, clamps, and of course the actual lamp. If something is missing, save yourself the frustration and get it before you start.

Remove the old lamp if you haven't already done so.
Fix the mounting bracket of the new lamp to the ceiling.
Prepare the lamp cables: These should be stripped about 5-10 mm.
Tip: A wire end ferrule provides extra security and a better connection.



Now it gets exciting! Connect the cables as follows:

The protective conductor (green- lebanon whatsapp mobile phone number list yellow) is connected to the earthing of the lamp. You can usually recognize this by a corresponding symbol.
The neutral wire (blue) is connected to the blue wire of the lamp.
The phase (black or brown) goes to the live connection of the lamp.
Use a terminal block or Wago terminal to connect the cables securely. Press everything firmly so that nothing wobbles or slips.
