According to the Unified Register of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, as of January 31, 2023, the number of officially registered self-employed persons in the Russian Federation amounted to just over 6.7 million people. Of these:

6.42 million - individuals;
353.5 thousand are individual entrepreneurs.

It includes 4 new subjects of Russia and 1 city outside of Russia: Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the city and cosmodrome of Baikonur in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
