Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree "On the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the long term up to 2036." One of the points of the document states: "To establish target indicators and tasks, the fulfillment of which characterizes the achievement of the national goal of "Digital transformation of state and municipal administration, economy and social sphere." In this regard, the president instructed to increase the share of households and provide them with the opportunity of high-quality high-speed broadband access to the information and telecommunications network "Internet", including using satellite and mobile networks and taking into account the growth of the bandwidth of the backbone infrastructure, to 97% by 2030 and to 99% by 2036.
PJSC Rostelecom previously romania whatsapp number database reported that more than 4.7 thousand villages and towns have become digital. "Specialists involved in the construction and logistics of the UCN 2.0 digital inequality elimination project, initiated in 2021 by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media together with the provider, overcame not only technical but also natural and climatic obstacles in 2023. The distance between the westernmost and easternmost points of the project is 6,589 km, and between the northern and southern - 3,569 km. To deliver the equipment to the installation site, we had to use helicopters, all-terrain vehicles and sleds, icebreaker-class vessels and boats. This is not just a critical infrastructure project, but also a social project that millions of people need," said Mikhail Oseevsky, President of PJSC Rostelecom.
including high-speed Internet access using LTE (4G) technology, in small towns (from 100 to 500 residents).
Since 2021, Rostelecom has laid more than 17 thousand km of new fiber-optic communication lines to connect base stations, which has made it possible to provide high-speed mobile Internet.
The list of settlements where base stations will be installed is determined by the Ministry of Digital Development on the basis of an open vote. The address list as of 2024 includes 1,481 settlements. And by 2030, mobile communications should appear in 24 thousand settlements.
Mobile operator OOO T2 Mobile (Tele2) acts as a competence center in the Rostelecom group of companies for the implementation of the UCN 2.0 project: it carries out radio frequency planning, coordinates the construction and commissioning of base stations.
In the most remote and hard-to-reach areas of the country, where laying terrestrial fiber-optic communication lines is technically impossible, satellite communications, organized with the participation of the Russian telecommunications company RTCOMM, are used to connect base stations. In total, in 2023, 82 base stations were connected via satellite channels in populated areas of the Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrugs, the Republics of Sakha (Yakutia) and Tyva, the Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka, Krasnoyarsk, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories, the Amur, Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Magadan, Murmansk, Tomsk and Tyumen Regions.
