ANDn 2020, following the outbreak of the pandemic and the suspension of major in-person events such as the MWC, the Barcelona business sector got to work to try to generate new benchmark events in the sector. The most immediate was Barcelona Tech Spirit, with more than 40 activities and 60 speakers. Another of these initiatives was the Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) , promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), with 160 hours of content focused on the latest trends in fields such as logistics or eCommerce.

The result was so good that the second edition of the event was presented this week.

The second edition of BNEW will be held from 5 to 8 October with an expanded programme that doubles the areas covered in its first edition, with ten verticals that will address different sectors and themes around future challenges, with a very clear focus on innovation, talent and sustainability. Thus, in addition to the areas covered in 2020 (Logistics, Digital Industry, Ecommerce, Economic Zones and Real Estate), this year five new, more transversal areas will be added: Mobility, Sustainable, Talent, Science and City.

The CZFB is thus doubling its commitment to generating a cyprus business email database benchmark event after the success of the first edition of BNEW, which attracted nearly 11,000 registered professionals from 111 countries. In this regard, the special delegate of the State at the CZFB, Pere Navarro , states that “ the extraordinary balance of the first BNEW has confirmed the need and usefulness of an event of these characteristics, 100% professional, totally disruptive with a hybrid physical and virtual format ”. In this sense, Navarro adds that “ BNEW is an example of how the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona acts as a driving force for transformation ”.

The second edition of BNEW will continue to focus on internationalisation as a key element , as well as on generating business through 100% virtual networking using artificial intelligence, matching interests and putting supply and demand in direct contact. Likewise, in the BVillage space, participating companies will be able to make presentations of their products or services via videoconference, as well as interact with attendees.
