Work and study with a work-study contract

The alternating training contract is a contractual modality whose main objective is for the worker to acquire specific professional training, both theoretical and practical, for a trade in his or her workplace.
This training is given in person or online and must be linked to a Professional Certificate or an Official Vocational Training Title.
Key features of alternating training contracts:
· Age limit
From 16 to 30 years
· Disabled Workers
There is no age limit for workers with a disability of 33%.
· Duration and working hours of the training contract
The minimum duration will be 3 months, extendable up to a maximum of 2 years.
· In the same company
It will not be possible to carry out iceland phone data training contracts in the same company if you have previously been contracted for more than 6 months in the same activity. You may be contracted in other activities.
· Training
The alternating training contract may be full-time or part-time. During the first year, 65% will be for actual work and 35% will be dedicated to theoretical training. From the second year onwards, 85% of the time will be dedicated to paid work and the remaining 15% to training.
· Salary Salary
according to agreement, never less than the minimum interprofessional salary and in proportion to the effective working time (SMI for the year 2023: €1080/month in 14 payments).
· Specific Training
The training will be related to the work activity that you perform.
· Qualification
The worker must not have a recognized professional qualification in the work activity for which he or she is contracted, but may have it for other activities.
· Covered Contingencies
Work accidents and occupational diseases, health care for common illness or non-work accident and maternity, economic benefits for temporary disability arising from common risks, for risk during pregnancy and maternity, retirement pensions, disability and death and survival. As well as coverage by the Salary Guarantee Fund.
· Unemployment
Workers also have the right to unemployment.
· Social Security contributions
The company will cover 100% of the cost of theoretical training and is exempt from paying the worker's Social Security:
Companies with <250 employees: 100% exemption = Cost €0
Companies with >250 employees: 75% of the fixed fee of €149.06 = cost €38
