And all this directly affects retailers' profitability per square meter, because the market is strengthening. My team and I analyzed - in 2023/2024, brands, despite losses in turnover, will already receive a higher net profit than they did before the war (because the rental rate has decreased and there are individual agreements with mall owners).

And if we analyze retail volumes, we see that they have almost reached pre-war levels. With each month, the lost potential is being compensated.

If we are talking about the return of transnational businesses from the point of view of social impact, the most important are:

Creating new jobs . Which is especially important in the context of special database rising unemployment during the war. New employment opportunities help reduce social tension and provide financial stability for many families. And now we see - in 2021 the unemployment rate in Ukraine was 9.9%, in 2022 (with the beginning of the war) - 21.2%, in 2023 - 19%, and in 2024 it is predicted to be 16.2%, and some experts even say about 14.2% .
Access to quality goods. The emergence of transnationals on the market increases the availability of quality goods. Consumers get the opportunity to use world-class products, which has a positive impact on their daily lives. This contributes to improving the overall standard of living of the population.
Dissemination of new technologies and management methods . Cooperation with foreign brands helps Ukrainian specialists acquire new skills, which contributes to the development of human capital.
