The implementation of the new platform took place in several stages.
JSC City-XXI Century is a full-cycle development company whose specialists undertake everything: from searching for a land plot and designing to construction and management of the facility. The company's history begins in 1997: since then, the company has implemented more than 60 projects for the construction of houses, residential complexes and social infrastructure facilities in Moscow and the region. Since 2017, all of the company's facilities have been designed using BIM technologies, each of which creates a special environment thought out in accordance with the needs of the target audience.
Previously, BIM 360 DSS was used to manage projects at City-XXI Century. But after sanctions began to be imposed on the use of foreign vendors' products in early 2022, the company began analyzing the Russian software market in order to find an analogue that was as similar to BIM 360 as possible.
Having considered several options, City-XXI Century specialists chose G-Station, a module of the G-Tech platform . The product's functionality was able to satisfy the company's main requirements: simple administration, user-friendly interface, the ability to organize "transparent" document flow and flexible approval settings.

At first, some of the company's employees were skeptical about switching from time-tested software to a new solution that required some work at that time. However, they soon changed their minds, including thanks to the opportunity to directly contact the developers with a request to improve certain functionality.
The implementation process took place in three stages and ultimately turned out to be quite smooth, since G-Station, according to company representatives, is an intuitive solution.
At the first stage, City-XXI Century specialists studied all the functions of the new software, still working in BIM 360.
At the second stage, they began testing G-Station and transferring projects to the new system. In this process, City-XXI Century employees were actively assisted by specialists from the BIM Academy. The developer began collaborating with them back in 2017, when it had just begun implementing BIM in its design and construction processes. At that time, the invited experts participated in developing customer information requirements (EIR) for BIM projects, drafting regulations for analyzing and monitoring BIM models, organizing and configuring the common data environment (CDE) for working with projects, and also conducted corporate training for City-XXI Century employees on the course "Organization, Management, and Quality Assessment of a BIM Project".
