Japan prides itself on its technological achievements, and the Olympics were a great opportunity to showcase them. This year, there were no fans in the stadiums, but the organizers were able to surprise the audience with new innovations. Let's take a closer look at them.

Robot basketball player
The CUE robot was developed by Toyota using artificial intelligence. It may not have won the Olympics, but it is considered a sporting legend in its category. In 2019, it entered the Guinness Book of Records for the largest continuous series of throws by a humanoid robot.

During this year's Olympics, a robot showed off its skills at the france number data free throw line.

Field support robot
This year, Toyota developed several Field Support Robots (FSRs) designed to “rapidly and safely deliver sports equipment, reducing the workload on operational personnel.”

Human assistant
Although this year’s games will be held without spectators, Toyota initially developed several auxiliary spam search robots. The Toyota publication notes that their task is to escort people to the venue and “bring spectators drinks and other goods ordered on a special tablet.”

Autonomous transport
The Olympics also featured a variety of vehicles designed to get around the Olympic village. Toyota initially planned to launch around 200 electric vehicles to transport “athletes, staff and visitors with disabilities.”

The charge of such a car is enough for 100 km, and it can accommodate up to 5 passengers.
