Technology to improve our lives: VISYON and its commitment to social innovation

Post by pappu857 »

We live in a world where digitalisation and technology have become the new idols to be worshipped en masse. The revolution we are immersed in is happening at such a speed that, in most cases, we only scratch the surface of what new technologies can do for humanity.

It's not just about mobile devices, social media or self-driving cars. Technology has reached every single area of our lives. The best example of this is VISYON .

We are looking at a company that promotes innovation through emerging technologies and creative solutions . We wanted to highlight this Catalan company through this medium, given the number of projects it develops in areas such as education, the environment and social-health through social innovation . A firm commitment to which they allocate 20% of their turnover.

One of the projects that has caught our attention the most is the virtual reality-based application developed for Alzheimer's Research in the United Kingdom. A perfect example of how new technologies can improve the lives of many people.

An idea that starts from something as basic as empathy. Curiously, this is a concept bahamas phone number that technology lacks, but in this case it helps others to develop it. The aforementioned app helps caregivers and family members of people with Alzheimer's see the world through the eyes of those who suffer from the disease.

The company is currently working on a second application. This time, it is betting on augmented reality aimed at improving the quality of life of people with Alzheimer's.

Another of the projects that has surprised us the most, looking deeper into all of VISYON's actions, has been “Visit-U” , based on the Telepport platform. An initiative with a multitude of applications in areas such as education, environmental assistance and healthcare, which was presented at the latest edition of the Mobile World Congress .

This is a project through which the user can “teleport” to other places.

«Visit-U» is an application that has been developed for some Dutch children's hospitals. It is a software that allows children who spend long periods in hospitals to visit their home virtually and in 360°.

An initiative that helps them break away from the feeling of the “white room” . This also allows real-time communication between children and their families.

A study has shown that the use of this technology accelerated the recovery of patients by providing a positive boost to their mood. «Visit-U» was developed in parallel with another application, called « Infor-med» , which aims to alleviate stage fright before and during an operation.

But technology can also do a lot of good for the environment. Last autumn, at the Climate Change Summit in Marrakech (Morocco), the company presented a project for the International Red Cross and the World Bank based on the need to raise awareness about the provision of funds to deal with natural disasters before they occur.
