Conversely, Instagram ( and now Facebook in the US ) Reels and YouTube Shorts are suspiciously similar to the TikTok concept. They all play into the short form video trend. You see the same thing happening in the field of live audio. Clubhouse quickly gained ground , with Twitter Spaces, Facebook Live Audio Rooms and Spotify Greenroom quickly entering the competition.


Social shopping
For those who have their own webshop or product, social media have also become increasingly interesting. Within various social media platforms, you can no longer ignore social (live) shopping. Think of Pinterest Shop the Look, Facebook Shopping and the prominent place that Instagram Shopping occupies in the app. TikTok does not want to be left behind and recently announced an in-app shop tab , in collaboration with Shopify.
