The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media has placed a tender for the performance of work on the survey of the State Automated System of Legal Statistics (GAS PS), its technical design and the creation of the module "Accounting for the Work of Prosecutors", which is part of the portal of the legal statistics system, and other components that ensure its functioning in terms of the first stage of departmental reporting processes.

According to the technical specifications, the system will help the Prosecutor General's Office maintain unified statistics on crime, as well as on reports of crimes, investigative work, inquiry, and prosecutorial supervision. The prosecutor's office employees will have access to digital information on all stages of procedural actions from the report of a crime to the entry into force of a judicial act. As previously reported by the media, the GAS PS will include information that is currently published in different systems, is at the disposal of different departments and is not entered into registers.
As a representative of the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, the development of the GAS PS was transferred to the Ministry of Digital Development only in 2024. "The purchase is being made to implement the project. The system will be put into operation within the timeframes established by law," said the representative of the press service of the department.

In the fall of 2021, the launch of the GAS PS was postponed for a year - from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023. At that time, the labor intensity of transferring the system components to software (SW) included in the unified register of Russian programs was cited as the reason. It was also necessary to debug the means of integrating the GAS PS with departmental information systems and prepare law enforcement agencies for information interaction. "This process is technologically labor-intensive and lengthy, requires separate design, and affects the reworking of the program code," the explanatory note to the bill says.
